Enjoy a Slice on National Pie Day

Today marks National Pie Day, a yearly celebration of the flaky-crusted wonder since the 1970’s. Whether you are a pumpkin fan, love a fresh-baked apple pie, or prefer a more savory chicken pot pie, be sure to grab a fork and celebrate. Our region has a lot of fresh, local options for pies. Here’s a list of some of our favorites.

Centerville Pie Company | Centerville

Founded in 2009 by two long-time friends, Centerville Pie Co. was thrust into the national spotlight shortly after they opened their doors when they were discovered by Oprah Winfrey. Their signature pie is their chicken pie but they also offer succulent dessert pies including apple, peach, chocolate cream and much more. Barnstable Agent Terrie Reilly loves the chocolate cream pie which she called “Tasty and addictive!” Visit here for a full menu.

Marion’s Pie Shop | Chatham

Using a special pastry crust recipe that has been passed down for 67 years, Marion’s Pie Shop makes a wide assortment of dessert and savory pies including seafood pie, beef steak pie, and a delicious french meat pie.
